Advise me... Function Keys
#1
I am using a Mac Yosomite. The f1 function works to pop up help. The other function keys do not work.
Am I missing something ? or doing something wrong ?

Have you used any applications that might have reassigned the Function keys?

The functionality of the FN keys in Mac OS X, the setting is under System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys checkbox.

F3 thru F11 can be chosen from the TABS
F12 can be accessed in the VIEW menu

F1 - Help
F2 - Offset
F3 - Select
F4 - Edit
F5 - View
F6 - Point
F7 - Line
F8 - Circle
F9 - Shapes
F10 - Text
F11 - Dimension
F12 - Extended Keyboard

The entire list of shortcut keys is in the User Guide / Getting Started / Keyboard at the bottom of that section.

Here is a list of all keyboard shortcuts for Deltacad.
(I cannot help you beyond this, being a PC user)

I guess Midnight Software works on Sundays.
I sent your message to them this morning.
Here is their reply.

F1 and F2 are the only function keys that do anything on the Mac version of DeltaCad.

See if you can use the keyboard to access the top pull down menus
When you press and hold the ALT key one of the characters in each Menu will be underlined.
Most of the time it will be the first character but sometimes it will be a different character.

example:
ALT-D will pull down the   Draw   menu
then ALT-L will pull down the   Line   menu
then ALT-L will select the   Line   option.

example:
ALT-E will pull down the   Edit   menu
then ALT-E will select the   Edit   option
then ALT-D will select the   Edit Object   function       < - - - note character d is underlined

Then see if you can assign these keystrokes to the function keys.
Google "How to Assign Shortcut Keys on a Mac" for help.

p.s. Macros won't help you here.

AlwMVMO posted the F key shortcuts awhile back, and I would like to use them. He sketched out how to enter them on a Mac, but I can't make it work for anything but F1 and F2. Could anyone please walk me through the setup process? I'm using El Capitan, version 10.11.5.

Thanks,
