Hi,

There is a spiral macro in the macros directory (it comes with the install) that uses splines.
May be worth a look.

It is the same Macro, I just added a few lines to make it more flexible by letting the user enter outside radius, inside radius and spacing between coils without having to edit the macro for different parameters.
